First Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day make my fasts the fasts of those who fast (sincerely), and my standing

up in prayer of those who stand up in prayer (obediently), awaken me in it from the sleep of

the heedless, and forgive me my sins , O God of the worlds, and forgive me, O one who

forgives the sinners.”

Second Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, take me closer towards Your pleasure, keep me away from Your anger

and punishment, grant me the opportunity to recite Your verses (of the Quran), by Your

mercy, O the most Merciful.”

Third Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, grant me wisdom and awareness, keep me away from foolishness and

pretention, grant me a share in every blessing You send down, by You generosity, O the most

Forth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, strengthen me in carrying out Your commands, let me taste the

sweetness of Your remembrance, grant me, through Your graciousness, that I give thanks to

You. Protect me, with Your protection and cover, O the most discerning of those who see.”

Fifth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, places me among those who seek forgiveness. Place me among Your

righteous and obedient servants, and place me among Your close friends, by Your kindness, O

the most Merciful.”

Sixth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, do not let me abase myself by incurring Your disobedience, and do not

strike me with the whip of Your punishment, keep me away from the causes of Your anger, by

Your kindness and Your power, O the ultimate wish of those who desire.”

Seventh Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, helps me with its fasts and prayers, and keep me away from mistakes

and sins of the day, grant me that I remember You continuously through the day, by Your

assistance, O the Guide of those who stray.”

Eighth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, let me have mercy on the orphans, and feed [the hungry], and spread

peace, and keep company with the noble minded, O the shelter of the hopeful.”

Ninth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, grants me a share from Your mercy which is wide, guide me towards

Your shining proofs, lead me to Your all encompassing pleasure, by Your love, O the hope of

the desirous.”

Tenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, makes me, among those who rely on You, from those who You consider

successful, and place me among those who are near to you, by Your favor, O goal of the

seekers.”

Eleventh Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, make me love goodness, and dislike corruption and disobedience, bar

me from anger and the fire [of Hell], by Your help, O the helper of those who seek help.”

Twelfth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, beautifies me with covering and chastity, cover me with the clothes

of contentment and chastity, let me adhere to justice and fairness, and keep me safe from

all that I fear, by Your protection, O the protector of the frightened.”

Thirteenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, purifies me from uncleanliness and dirt, make me patient over events

that are decreed, grant me the ability to be pious, and keep company with the good, by Your

help, O the beloved of the destitute.”

Fourteenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, do not condemn me for slips, make me decrease mistakes and errors, do

not make me a target for afflictions and troubles, by Your honor, O the honor of the

Muslims.”

Fifteenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, grant me the obedience of the humble expand my chest through the

repentance of the humble, by Your security, O the shelter of the fearful.”

Sixteenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, grant me compatibility with the good, keep me away from patching up

with the evil, lead me in it, by Your mercy, to the permanent abode, by Your Godship, O the

God of the worlds.”

Seventeenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, guide me towards righteous actions, fulfill my needs and hopes, O One

who does not need explanations nor questions, O One who knows what is in the chests of the

(people of the) world. Bless Muhammad and his family, the Pure.”

Eighteenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, awakens me with the blessings of its early mornings, Illuminate my

heart with the brightness of its rays, let every part of my body follow its effects, by Your

light, O the illuminator of the hearts of those who know.”

Nineteenth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, multiplies for me its blessings, and ease my path towards its

bounties, do not deprive me of the acceptance of its good deeds, O the Guide towards the

clear truth.”

requests of the needy.”

“O Allah, on this day, makes me among those who love Your friends, and hate Your enemies,

following the way of Your last Prophet, O the Guardian of the hearts of the Prophets.”

Twenty-sixth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, makes my efforts worthy of appreciation, and my sins forgiven, my

deeds accepted, my flaws concealed, O the best of those who hear.”

Twenty-seventh Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, bestow on me the blessings of Layl tul Qadr, change my affairs from

(being) difficult to (being) easy, accept my apologies, and decrease for me [my] sins and

burdens, O the Compassionate with His righteous servants.”

Twenty-eighth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, grants me a share in its nawafil (recommended prayers), honour me by

attending to my problems, make closer the means to approach You, from all the means, O One

who is not preoccupied by the requests of the beseechers.”

Twenty-ninth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, covers me with Your mercy, grant me in it success and protection,

purify my heart from the darkness of false accusations, O the Merciful to His believing

servants.”

Thirtieth Ramadan al-Mubarak

“O Allah, on this day, makes my fasts worthy of appreciation and acceptance, according to

what pleases You, and pleases the Messenger, the branches being strengthened by the roots,

for the sake of our leader, Muhammad, and his purified family. Praise be to Allah, the Lord

of the worlds.”

As Salaamu ‘alaykum and peace to all,

14th Ramadhan 1429- Day 14- There Is A Time for Everything – A Motivational Story of Knowing When To Supplicate and Get What We Want

‘I called her several times but no one picked up the phone’ said a friend of mine one day when I asked her if she managed to get hold of an old friend

‘Really? That’s odd. What time did you call her?’ I asked

‘Well, I don’t have the time during the day, so I always try calling her after office hours, about 7.30pm’ she told me

‘No wonder you didn’t get her. She usually reached home at about 9pm sis. You have to call a bit later!’ I told her

‘Ahhh… that explains why the phone just kept ringing and no one answered’ she said

Has this incident happened to you before? Well, it happened to me not once or twice but more than I would care to remember. Knowing the right time to call someone would mean that we have higher chances to get our calls answered, right?

This conversation I had with my friend had suddenly made me realized something significant. Really significant!

This Blessed month of Ramadan, we are given the exact time when we should make the ‘phone calls’ to our Lord, Allah the Al Mighty. Okay, I don’t mean the literal sense of phone calls but you know what I mean, right?

So, do you want to know when this exact time is? Well, just look at the hadith below,

In the book of Ibn Maja, Abdullah bin ‘Amru bin ‘Al-As (raa) reported that the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: “Indeed, as to the faster, about the time he breaks his fast, his du’a, (supplication) will not be turned away by Allah.”

SubhanAllaah… isn’t this great? To know exactly the time when we should be asking from Him whatever our hearts desires?

It makes me think. If this is the time when we should be making loads of prayers, shouldn’t we be in silence at these critical moments, asking in our hearts His Help, His Assistance, His Blessings, His Abundance, His Mercy, His Love, His Forgiveness and His Aid; instead of being busy pouring drinks, scooping food, arranging seating positions and even talking?

And you know something else my brothers and sisters?

If we supplicate during these moments and ask from Him whatever that we wanted, He, our Lord has promised that He shall fulfill all that we asked for! InshaAllaah…

Did I say all? Yes I did! ALL (that we desire)… there, I said it again…

Just look at the hadith below,

In a report by Tirmidhi (raa), the Messenger of Allah (saas) has been reported as saying: “There are three categories of people whose du’a (supplications) will not be rejected: the person who observes the fast until he breaks, a just ruler, and the person who has been wronged.”

Allaahu akbar! Amazing, isn’t it to know exactly the timing when to ask Him so that we would get what we want? A timing of when our prayers not be rejected?

Talking about timing, I remembered Ecclesiastes (3: 1-8) once said something wise,

“There is a right time for everything:
A time to be born; A time to die;
A time to plant; A time to harvest;
A time to kill; A time to heal;
A time to destroy; A time to rebuild;
A time to cry; A time to laugh;
A time to grieve; A time to dance;
A time for scattering stones; A time for gathering stones;
A time to hug; A time not to hug;
A time to find; A time to lose;
A time for keeping; A time for throwing away;
A time to tear; A time to repair;
A time to be quiet; A time to speak up;
A time for loving; A time for hating;
A time for war; A time for peace;”

Now, let us asked ourselves my brothers and sisters- when is the perfect timing for us to ask Him all that our hearts desires?

Yes, you are right! Just about the very moment we are about to break our fasts. Absolutely!

And let us ask ourselves another question- are we going to use this golden opportunity given by our Lord, Allah the Al Mighty, of the last precious 5-10 minutes before we break our fast to pray to Him, to supplicate to Him and to ask from Him to fulfill our needs, to solve the problems that we face, to protect us from harm, to forgive us for our mistakes, to bless us with good marriage, to have faithful and successful children, to make our affairs easy, to give us peace and contentment, to allow us entrance to His Paradise, to make us His faithful servants, to protect us from Hellfire, to save us from punishments in the grave, to bless us with good knowledge, to shower us with wealth, to provide us with good health and to make us successful in this life and hereafter, OR are we going to be busy asking everyone to sit around the table, pass the food and drinks around, still cooking in the kitchen, talk about the traffic we face on the way back from work and maybe discuss the world politics?

Which one are we really going to do my brothers and sisters, in the last 10 minutes of breaking our fasts?

Which one…?
